Her career spans financial services, crown corporations, public‑sector utilities, healthcare, and post‑secondary education. Across these diverse environments, she has held senior HR leadership roles and served as a trusted advisor through mergers, restructuring, downsizing, and culture transitions. Her work has shaped leadership capability, strengthened organizational culture, and supported leaders through some of the most complex and high‑stakes moments of their careers.
Karyn has facilitated enterprise‑wide coaching programs, delivered group coaching and coaching circles, and designed leadership development programs that build capability across teams and functions. This experience gives her a deep understanding of the systems leaders operate within — the structures, dynamics, and pressures that shape how decisions are made and how change takes root.
As a Canadian now building a cross‑border leadership practice in the United States, Karyn understands firsthand what it means to lead through transition. Her own journey — stepping into new landscapes, embracing uncertainty, and choosing alignment over comfort — shapes the grounded, human‑centered approach she brings to her clients.
Karyn is known for blending emotional intelligence with strategic clarity. She works with leaders in pivotal moments: stepping into expanded roles, navigating organizational change, leading through complexity, or redefining how they want to show up in their leadership. In addition to her role with Ignite Purpose, Karyn is the founder of Inner Compass Leaders, her U.S.-based executive coaching practice. Across North America, she partners with organizations to deliver Ignite Purpose’s global leadership programs and to support leaders through one‑to‑one coaching, group coaching, and leadership circles that foster shared learning, reflection, and courageous action.
